Disproportionate burden

Some of the issues listed fall under a situation of disproportionate burden, pursuant to Article 3-ter of Law 4/2004. In these cases, the provider is not able to intervene directly or promptly due to technical, organizational, or contractual constraints.

Specifically:

  • Third-party advertising banners: not editable as they are managed by external parties.
  • Content embedded via iframe: not accessible and not customizable.
  • Keyboard focus management in certain sections: compliance requires complex modifications to components and pages.
  • Integration with external software: in some sections, the code of input elements in forms is dynamically modified by integrated systems, resulting in some labels not being properly associated with their corresponding fields.

Despite these limitations, Salone del Mobile Milano is committed to the progressive alignment of the website with accessibility requirements, as part of an ongoing structured path toward inclusive design. This process involves the direct participation of users with disabilities through testing and validation activities, with the aim of ensuring an accessible user experience in line with the principles of digital accessibility.
