The collaboration between Illulian and the newborn MC+ brand represents the quintessence of Made in Italy design, celebrating its important heritage of style, know-how and savoir faire. This is how the new Orbis rug was born, the work of designer duo Mattia Biagi and Cardenio Petrucci, inspired by desert landscapes and the debris left behind by storms.
The reference to nature is clear from the name, which literally means 'globe' in Latin. And indeed, the design is reminiscent of a natural landscape seen from a satellite, with colours and shades that evoke watercourses and mountainous reliefs seen from above.
Bright colours and dynamic brushstrokes symbolically celebrate the circle of life and the concept of rebirth.
