Casa Italia 2026, between sport and design

Casa Italia Milano

Casa Italia Milano

A space devoted to an immersive experience where sport, culture, nature and design come together to express the essence of Italianness. During the XXV Olympic Winter Games, from 6 to 22 February 2026

During the Milano Cortina 2026 XXV Winter Olympics, scheduled from 6 to 22 February, the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) has chosen the theme “Muse” for Casa Italia 2026: a reference to the divine inspirers of classical mythology, a symbol of memory, knowledge and creativity. The Muses do not limit themselves to protecting the arts, but embody the energy that drives Italy to be a source of inspiration for the whole world.

Casa Italia 2026 will be developed in three locations: at Triennale Milano, the Aquagranda Olympic Preparation Center in Livigno and the Farsetti Gallery in Cortina d’Ampezzo, transformed for the occasion into scenographic and emotional paths in which sport dialogues with nature, art, design and architecture.

The exhibition is inspired by the Alpine landscape and the eighteenth-century Grand Tour, with the mountains as the natural and symbolic backdrop to the Olympic experience: the materials tell of a welcoming, technical Italy in constant movement. They range from reflective aluminum, evoking mountain shelters, to wood which conveys domestic warmth.
