Gaetano Pesce, designer, sculptor and architect
Gaetano Pesce, Italian designer, sculptor and architect, has died at the age of 84 at his home in New York. Born in La Spezia, Italy, in 1939, he was one of the world's leading creatives. We remember him through the words of Marva Griffin, Founder and Curator of SaloneSatellite
"I would like to thank Gaetano, a lifelong friend, for what I was able to learn from him. I am very saddened by his passing, he leaves us with a huge void. Last year, very generously, he held a talk at SaloneSatellite with young designers, inspiring and giving them advice. A final message from him that I am sure they will treasure."

Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025: this is how it went
Within a hugely uncertain global context, the 2025 edition of the Salone consolidated the results achieved in 2023, when Euroluce was last held. Informing the agenda for 2026, the highest ever percentage of foreign professionals was testament to the key role of the trade fair, which offered new business opportunities to 151 countries
