The Salone is a business, culture and networking ecosystem in its own right.

All the latest on the 2025 edition

The common thread running through this year's edition is Thought for Humans., devised by Dentsu Creative Italy and entrusted to the American artist photographer Bill Durgin. Known for his ability to deconstruct and reinterpret the body, Durgin shows how light, wood, metal, fabric and bioplastic merge with human skin, making the message of sustainability, harmony and connection tangible.

In the year of the Euroluce biennial, featuring 306 exhibitors from among the industry’s leading brands, 45% of them from abroad, the very first edition of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum is being held – a multi-voice discussion on the major issues in lighting design: 2 intense days of masterclasses, round tables and workshops with 20 speakers from all over the world. The Forum, entitled Light for Life, Light for Spaces, is directed by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor, in collaboration with APIL.

The unmissable site-specific installations

Villa Héritage, the installation designed by the French architect  Pierre-Yves Rochon, can be found in Pavilions 13-15. The Oscar-winning filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino, flanked by the set designer Margherita Palli and with sound by Max Casacci, pays tribute to a universal feeling: waiting. The installation, located in pavilions 22-24,  is entitled La dolce attesa.

The American artist Robert Wilson’s “total work” Mother, dedicated to Michelangelo’s masterpiece, is on show at the Museo della Pietà Rondanini – Castello Sforzesco.

Also in the city, the British artist and designer Es Devlin is presenting Library of Light, a Salone project in collaboration with the Pinacoteca di Brera and La Grande Brera and with the contribution of Feltrinelli. During its two-week opening, the installation will be become a platform for thought and dialogue, hosting a series of meetings bringing together art, literature, craftsmanship and reflections on our time.
