The Salone del Mobile.Milano touches down in Madrid

Salone, Milano and Beyond, the international Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025 tour, flagging up the latest developments and promoting the 63rd edition, is continuing on its way ahead of the trade fair at Rho Fiera Milano from 8th to 13th April.  
 

After stops in Copenhagen, New York, Toronto and New Delhi, the Salone, Milano and beyond introductory promotional road tour for the 63rd edition, slated for 8th to 13th April at Rho Fiera Milano, touched down in Spain.

The biennial Euroluce exhibition will be back this year, not only featuring more than 300 brands from 25 different countries, but also hosting the very first edition of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum (10th-11th April, Pavilion 2) - two days of masterclasses, round tables and workshops curated by Annalisa Rosso, the Salone’s Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor, in collaboration with APIL. Under the heading Light for Life, Light for Spaces, the protagonists will include lighting designers, architects, artists, set designers, scientists, biologists, anthropologists, astronomers, and psychologists.

There will also be an extremely high level cultural programme, with the return of Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives, including Talks and Round Tables, and three site-specific installations, at the Salone and in the city: Pierre-Yves Rochon. Villa Héritage (Pavs. 13-15), Paolo Sorrentino. La dolce attesa (Pavs. 22-24), Robert Wilson. Mother (Rondanini Pietà Museum – Sforzesco Castle).

The latest developments were announced on Monday 17th February at ACdO in Madrid, attended by Carlo Urbinati, President Assoluce of FederlegnoArredo; Marva Griffin Wilshire, Founder and Curator of SaloneSatellite; Luca Adornato, Marketing and Communication Director of the Salone del Mobile.Milano. For the occasion a special meeting, moderated by the curator and journalist Ana Domínguez, was attended by the designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocón, who exhibited his projects at SaloneSatellite in 2007 and 2010, and the lighting designer Mariel Fuentes, who co-founded MMAS Lighting with Michela Mezzavilla in 2016 - a multicultural Barcelona-based studio, mainly focused on architectural lighting design. Fuentes will be the protagonist of a Round Table on Friday 11th April, as part of the Euroluce International Forum.
