After studying in France and USA, Adrien de Lassence graduated from ENSA-Clermont-Ferrand, Architecture University in 2009. He worked in Vancouver, Canada, and set up in Paris in 2011. Having registered with the French Board of Architects, in 2018 he joined Sou Fujimoto Architects in Paris to help the newly established office in France. De Lassence’s first project at Sou Fujimoto Architects was “Milles Arbres - A Thousand Trees”, on the west side of Paris beyond the ring boulevard, which won the 1st prize among the 23 sites included in the French competition Réinventer.Paris. He managed a team of 10 architects for this large-scale, mixed-use project spanning over 55,000 sqm, including offices, a hotel, housing, a food court, a kindergarten, and two floating parks. In 2019, while managing a variety of projects and competitions in parallel, De Lassence took over the construction of the Shared Learning Centre at Polytechnic University on the Paris-Saclay Campus. In early 2020 he became Project Director, and in 2022 Associate Director for the Paris office; in addition, he is entrusted with business development activities for the firm in France and Europe, part of the Middle East, South America, and the east coast of the United States. His longstanding collaboration with Sou Fujimoto now allows him to foster sustainable and innovative architecture, maintaining a strong connection to nature and always keeping the final user at the heart of each project.
