Italian photographer and filmmaker, based in Milan. Giulio Ghirardi graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2013 after completing a three-year degree in Architecture in Strasbourg, France. His photographs and films, largely focused on architecture, interiors and portraiture, apparently free of artifice and natural-looking, follow a documentary style, taking inspiration directly from life. He tends to work in series, exploring spaces and people through the medium of both analogue and digital photography. He collaborates with clients such as Dior, Frette, the Prada Foundation, Luca Guadagnino, Aesop and Arper. His editorial work has been published in Another Magazine, Wallpaper *, WSJ, NYT, AD France, Bloomberg Businessweek and W magazine, amongst others. He has been represented by the New York agency Triptyque since February 2020.
