Born in Tuscany in 1992, Guglielmo Profeti’s work encompasses fashion photography and his own composite personal research through portraits, text and temporary sculptures. In both cases, he adopts a conceptual approach based on research and theoretical investigation, portraying irrational dichotomies superimposed upon the delicacy of human dynamics, identifying organic patterns within in-organic contexts, adding a surreal dimension by drawing on real elements. Often material, adopting compositional approaches and a use of light that draws on the pictorial, his images offer a point of view hidden in plain sight before the eyes of those who interface with them.
