Matteo Pirola

(1975) Pirola has earned a PhD, and is an architect as well as a design researcher for IULM University in Milan. He teaches History of design, Contemporary arts, Events for creative industries, Interior architecture and Exhibition design. He is also an author and essayist, an independent curator and a business consultant, and carries out research, design and criticism activities on contemporary art, design and architecture. He is curious about all forms of knowledge and passionate about thought, matter and anything that can be designed.

Pirola is also editor at Inventario magazine, and was scientific coordinator for the archival research activities required for the opening of the permanent exhibition of the Compasso d’Oro historical collection at the new ADI Design Museum in Milan.
