A new generation of glassblowers bringing a new wave into the historical murano glass production “Glow” is a young, easy to custom table-lamp. A simple concept of lighting enriched by the wonderful effects created with glass fusing technique. A lamp for different uses that can be shaped in several colors and patterns, consisting of a single glass cone and a small compact led light. Pushing the boundaries of traditional glassmaking, Wave is experimenting with innovative designs to develop a new pop lighting concept. An homage to one of the symbols of Hellenic culture, inspired by the famous Nike of Samothrace sculpture exhibited at the Louvre in Paris. The figure of the winged woman is wrapped in a light cloth that flows in the wind and adheres to the body of the young goddess. The mastery of the artwork’s reinterpretation in glass lies in the fluidity with which Roberto Beltrami uses a mix of blowing and solid techniques to sculpt the artwork and coat it with ethereal layers of blown molten glass, reengineering the look of the classic sculpture to adapt it to a modern feel. Handmade eclectic seating created using the blown glass technique on a hammered mold. This process requires "heroic" blowing and a complex teamwork inside the furnace, in order to generate a decorative and functional element with a unique design. The interesting texture gives exclusive light reflections, while the silicone shaping guarantees a non-slip effect. It is possible to choose from different color options.
