The Present and Future of Artificial Intelligence

    Speakers: 4
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is the term on everyone’s lips. If the hype is to be believed, there are few parts of our lives that will remain untouched by the technology. Governments are wary of its potential harmful usage and the EU recently passed regulatory legislation in the form of the AI Act. With AI able to do everything from crunching data like never before to coming up with architectural master plans based on text prompts, the design world won’t be spared from the shifting grounds. We discuss what AI means for the design and architectural disciplines, and whether it will simply become another tool to help the industry or have a much wider, potentially more disrupting impact.Panel:Paolo Ciuccarelli, Direttore del Center for Design alla Northeastern University, Boston, and Fondatore del DensityDesign Lab al Politecnico di Milano  Sherif Tarabishy, Associate Partner, Foster + PartnersHannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, Direttori artistici e Co-fondatori Random International  Cas Esbach, Project Leader and Licenced Architect, MVRDVModerator: Ed Stocker, Europe’s Editor at Large, MonocleArena Drafting Futures, Pavilion 14
