Incessantly evolving research and experimentation, in keeping with the latest trends in quality interior design, has given rise to the new Alabastri collection, which offers an original take on the extraordinary sheen and vibrant colours of a beautiful, sought-after material whose light, airy allure has been winning the hearts of artists down through the ages, allowing them to create unforgettable ornamental motifs and decorative friezes. 

Capturing all the appeal of a rock that embodies the traces of an everlasting bond with the earth that shaped it, Alabastri is ideal for creating sophisticated spaces with a composed, beautifully understated elegance and exquisitely contemporary details, for a luxury look. Delicate shading, subtle mother-of-pearl transparencies, a delightful interplay of graceful light and shade effects dance across the tiles, creating a surprising impression of depth thanks to a perfect synergy between the rich beauty of the material and its three-dimensional allure. 

The new collection comes in five colours (Alabastri Black, Blue, Green, Pink and White), with a thickness of 6 mm in the size 120x278 cm and a thickness of 9 mm in the sizes 120x120 cm, 60x120 cm, 90x90 cm and 90x180 cm. It is available with both a polished surface and in a smooth variant with a soft, silky appearance. The range is completed with mesh-backed mosaic tiles, in a 30x30 cm format, made up of 5x5 cm and 5x15 cm tesserae, and listel, hexagonal and diamond-shaped mosaic tiles. 

This gleaming collection offers endless expressive opportunities, combining the practical appeal of porcelain stoneware with the charm of alabaster, to tile floors and walls in all kinds of projects. It can be used in both new buildings and for the restoration and recovery of existing constructions, and is ideal both for homes and for public settings, in the contract, hotel, hospitality and wellness sectors.

This versatile design resource is able to engage freely with a variety of different materials to create customised furnishing accessories, tone-on-tone looks that blend smoothly with the floors, or enchanting colour contrasts able to enhance and embellish any setting with a vibrant touch. Thanks to the large formats, with bookmatch and endmatch versions also available, the new collection can be used to create seamless floor-to-wall surfaces, for a natural, continuous look. 

Like all the Casalgrande Padana stoneware collections, Alabastri is made exclusively from natural raw materials. It is eco-compatible, fire-resistant, non-absorbent, antibacterial and self-cleaning, and is able to eliminate the pollutants present in the air, thanks to the Bios Ceramics technology, which can be obtained on request. It maintains its appearance unaltered over time, does not warp, and is resistant to thermal shock, wear and tear and abrasion. It has excellent bending strength and is easy to lay and to clean.
