The new bathroom accessories of the OF.LINE collection by Sebastian Herkner are
characterised by an exciting mix of materials: a powerful combination of innovatively crafted
solid aluminium and handmade porcelain. The cool, graphic structure of the aluminium is
contrasted by warm porcelain tones. The new product line – an authentic homage to the city
of Offenbach – will be presented for the first time at the Salone Internazionale del Bagno 2024
in Milan, Italy.
People know each other in Offenbach, particularly when it comes to design. So it was only a
matter of time until Offenbach-based designer Sebastian Herkner got together with the
family business Decor Walther, headquartered just a few hundred metres from Herkner's
studio. At Salone Internazionale del Bagno in Milan in April 2024, the manufacturer will
present the new OF.LINE collection, whose name refers to its local origins. "I was quickly won
over by Decor Walther's company philosophy, their standards of design and quality, as well as
their understanding of luxury. The bottom line for both of us is aesthetics paired with
functionality and sustainability," explains Sebastian Herkner. "And since we both have roots
in Offenbach, we speak the same language. It just made sense for us to work together," adds
Henry Walther.
The OF.LINE collection brings a new element to Decor Walther's diverse portfolio, covering
classic bathroom accessories such as soap dispensers and bowls, towel holders and toilet
1
brushes, as well as paper towel boxes, storage trays and storage boxes in various sizes, which
are universally applicable in other areas.
The OF.LINE collection offers real value, going well beyond the typical uses of individual
components. The beauty and timeless aesthetics of the materials and the carefully selected
colour palette make the products real eye-catchers, whose high quality and durability can be
seen at first glance. "We selected particularly sensual and authentic materials, such as solid
aluminium, rather than tubular aluminium. Porcelain is a very honest material in terms of
production, and the glaze lends the design a handcrafted touch," explains Sebastian Herkner.
The charismatic structure of the aluminium elements, with architectural inspiration from
buildings like Marina City in Chicago, lends the collection a special feel, creating a subtle
interplay of light and shadow. The porcelain is reflected in the aluminium when light falls on
it, revealing a wider spectrum of colour. The aqua, champagne and mocha tones of the
aluminium elements combined with the nature-inspired nuances of shell, moss and reed in
the porcelain vessels are in tune with the times, making them a good fit for nearly any setting
and living area. All metal and porcelain surfaces can be flexibly mixed and matched.
Aligned with Sebastian Herkner's concept, Decor Walther uses a wide variety of techniques in
production. The aluminium components are manufactured with an innovative technology,
while the porcelain elements are created using traditional artisanship in Bavaria. The
components finally come together in Offenbach.
