Designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez Matteo Thun: the Milan-based architect and designer born and raised in the bilingual German and Italian speaking region of South Tyrol, Italy. Following his studies with Oskar Kokoschka and Emilio Vedova at the Salzburg Academy he graduated cum laude with a degree in Architecture from the University of Florence. He co-founded the ‘Memphis’ group in Milan in 1981 with Ettore Sottsass and opened his own studio in Milan in 1984. Designer Antonio Rodriguez was born in 1963 and grew up in Spain. After studies in Valencia and Milan, he moved to Milan in the 1990s, working at the Taipei Design Center and acting as a tutor at the European Design Institute (IED) from 2000 to 2005. Antonio Rodriguez has been partnering with Matteo Thun since 2003. His minimal design approach stands for sophistication, simplicity and innovation. Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez projects are renowned for pairing the concept of a new generation of Made in Italy excellence with sophisticated and mimimalist aesthetics featuring user-friendly functions.
