Product description
It could be nostalgia, a natural inclination towards the certainty of an analogue age. Or perhaps it's simply the delight of crisp design, an aesthetic unsullied by empty embellishment. Either way, like its namesake guide of yesteryear, Ambient Compass leads the way in impeccable style amongst a world busy with unnecessarily complex solutions.

Generous panels of sustainably sourced, hand finished teak are juxtaposed as if compass points, detailed with gently rounded edges and finished with a cleverly integrated handle. Shades are hand woven using a natural look, brushed fibre, that creates a tactile finish and delivers a beautifully diffused glow when lit from within.

Compass’s Burlap or Umber shades surround a weatherproof, remote controlled LED lighting unit that can be charged using either mains or solar power. Available in three sizes suited to table-top and floor standing use alike, Compass’s timeless form harmonises with any aesthetic, bringing a beautiful ambience to any evening and stylish chic to daylight decor.

Danish designer Henrik Pedersen says of his bold lantern; “A compass is meant to guide you, and that’s exactly what this design does. Like a compass rose, the four-star base marks the cardinal directions, while the lamp itself illuminates the way.”

The very name suggests a journey - lines stretching out, converging at a distant point in front and behind. To the future, and to the past.
