Graphic Elements 3 by Armani/Casa invites to explore the Far East: the aura of Japanese islands, with their rich nature and millenary culture, was the source of inspiration for patterns and textures featured in this collection.
From the collection:
One of the four major islands in the archipelago, Kyushu is considered the birthplace of Japanese culture. This wallcovering plays with threedimensionality to recreate large enamelled tiles, in two versions emphasized by the use of particular techniques.
Mikura stands out for the bold design, where alternating horizontal stripes in contrasting colours create an impactful look. The whole surface is marked a micro-texture given by the raffia support, applied on silver foil and eventually printed to create the design. The coloured stripes are in relief and matt, in order to increase the contrast with the shiny background.
This wallcovering is marked by a textured surface imitating a loosely woven canvas. Fukue can be the absolute protagonist if applied alone, or can be combined with other wallcoverings from the Graphic Elements 3 collection to be used as a plain.
