It returns in its original transparent blown glass version, with the iconic white spot, now improved with a new metallic structure supporting the diffuser. Designed by Roberto Pamio "We are very proud of this re-edition," says architect Matteo Pamio. "Bringing it back means not only preserving an important part of our cultural heritage, but also casting new light on Gill—one that speaks to the needs of a contemporary audience. A special thanks to Leucos for reviving this masterpiece with such sensitivity and expertise, allowing new generations to appreciate its timeless value and new cultures to discover and embrace it." Gill is an emblematic creation of LEUCOS. Designed in 1962 by Roberto Pamio, it was the first product launched by the company and embodies LEUCOS’ deep connection with the art and craftsmanship of blown glass. Today, over 60 years later, LEUCOS pays tribute to this icon with a re-edition that integrates new technical solutions, improving installation, maintenance, and light diffusion while preserving the elegance and original essence of its design. The new collection keeps the fluid and lightweight shapes that characterize the blown glass diffuser, handcrafted according to Venetian tradition, while the structure has been entirely redesigned with a refined and contemporary approach: a metal base and a blown glass diffuser, available in wall, ceiling, and table versions with diameters of 28 and 40 cm. Key innovations include: A "twist and lock" metal ring, allowing effortless installation and removal of the glass without tools, simplifying cleaning and maintenance. An internal blown glass cylinder, designed to eliminate glare and diffuse a softer, more enveloping light. With this re-edition, LEUCOS continues to merge innovation and craftsmanship, reaffirming its role as a key player in decorative lighting design. GILL returns to shine, bringing the timeless charm of Italian design into contemporary projects, enhanced by modern technology.
