Aesop, the Australian company known for its high-quality and aromatic skin and body care products, will take part in the 2025 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano as Sensory Patron, continuing its long-established connection with the world of design. Founded in Melbourne in 1987, Aesop is well known for its attention to detail in every aspect of its visual identity, from store architecture to product packaging.
“The Second Skin” is an installation that comes to life in the Church of the Carmine, from 8 to 13 April, in the heart of the Brera district. From the entrance to the cloisters, passing through the sacristy and the courtyard, the site-specific installation presents a multisensory journey that explores the interconnection of dermis and design.
Marianne Lardilleux, Director, Global Retail Design at Aesop, said: “Salone del Mobile.Milano is a unique opportunity to push the Aesop experience that customers encounter in our stores to even more intriguing areas of sensorial and architectural enrichment. “The Second Skin” is an ode to the largest organ of our body—and one that is created in a distinctly Aesop fashion.”
Invited guests will also have the opportunity to receive a relaxing hand and arm massage with Aesop’s Eleos formulations in The Capsule of Respite—a room furnished with pieces by some of the most prestigious Italian designers. In addition, “The Second Skin” experience will also extend to the brand’s four locations in Milan, starting from Aesop Brera, located in Piazza del Carmine.
