Everything there is to know about the upcoming edition: the design industry’s most keenly-awaited global event will be back from 8th to 13th April
It’s finally happening: the 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano kicks off tomorrow. From 8th to 13th April the Fiera Milano, Rho fairgrounds will become the leading platform for the design world.
The trade fair is poised to welcome more than 2,100 exhibitors, including 168 first-time brands at the Salone and 91 returnees – testament to the dynamic nature of the event.
So as not to be caught unprepared, here are the key new features to check out this year.
Salone 2025: the key new features
- The new communication campaign, Thought for Humans. Devised by Dentsu Creative Italy and entrusted to the American photographer Bill Durgin, on show till 15th April in Milan’s Via Dante;
- In the year of Euroluce, the first-ever edition of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum, directed by Annalisa Rosso, Editorial Director & Cultural Events Advisor, in collaboration with APIL;
- The 26th edition of SaloneSatellite, the event dedicated to emerging talents under 35, founded and curated by Marva Griffin Wilshire;
- The guide to the pavilions, to familiarise yourself with the visitor paths and better navigate inside Fiera Milano, Rho;

Must-see installations
- Salone 2025 has an extremely high level cultural programme in store, with four site-specific installations, both at the Salone and in the city: Pierre-Yves Rochon. Villa Héritage (Pavs. 13-15), Paolo Sorrentino. La dolce attesa (Pavs. 22-24), Robert Wilson. Mother (Rondanini Pietà Museum – Sforzesco Castle), Es Devlin, Library of Light;
A packed palimpsest of cultural events
- For the third year running, the Formafantasma Arena (Pav. 14) will form the venue for Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives - 5 days of talks and round tables curated by Annalisa Rosso and featuring some of the most brilliant figures on the international scene;
- For book lovers, the Salone Library project is back with a selection of must-read books;
- The Design Kiosk, the Salone del Mobile landmark entrusted to Corraini Edizioni which, from 1st to 13th April, will be the venue for meetings with protagonists from the design world, will be back again in Milan’s Piazza della Scala;
- Re-Discovered is the new Salone project which will enable the history of some of the great design icons in the city of Milan to be discovered over the trade fair period.
