RESPONSIBILITY, ECO-DESIGN AND RESISTANCE IN URBAN LIGHTING
Lorelux® stands for Long Resistant Luminaires, an Italian brand owned by Niteko, leading Apulian company specializing in the manufacture of custom LED lighting solutions for outdoor and large areas, born as an innovative start-up and grown rapidly to become today an innovative and internationally renowned SME. Lorelux® is the first brand of luminaires made from post-consumer recycled plastic that enhances urban spaces with exclusive designs, and in a sustainable and durable way. Lorelux® does not sacrifice beauty with recycling, but gives rise to original and functional creations that demonstrate how Eco-Design can be not only valuable to the environment, but functional in terms of product resistance and durability. Public administrations and lighting designers can thus illuminate their cities in a completely sustainable way, by choosing an environmentally conscious solution without ever sacrificing efficiency and design.
RECYCLING, AN ETHICAL CHOICE
Lorelux® are kind to the environment, since they are manufactured in full compliance with circular economy: from the choice of 100% sustainable materials to a low-impact manufacturing technique, from recycling and reusing the same material to the possibility of constantly upgrading LED technology, always achieving maximum energy efficiency and savings without replacing the lighting body.
Lorelux®:
• Reduces: by producing from recovered materials, it minimises the use of virgin resources.
• Reuses: a producer’s waste becomes its raw material; each luminaire contains 50% to 98% post-consumer plastic.
• Refurbishes: it extends product’s life through easy replacement and upgrading of the led engine, saving the environment 15 kg of CO2 with each replacement avoided.
• Recycles: at the end of its service life, luminaires are completely recycled.
Its revolutionary lighting body opens the door to new perspectives for the lighting industry. Material’s flexibility and the particular manufacturing technique make it possible to mould any kind of shape, guaranteeing exclusive designs. In this way, it is possible to create unique shapes with no limits in geometries, overcoming the obstacles of traditional technology and customizing each product to the fullest.
