Where did you study? Degree in Architecture at the Architecture School of Alcalá de Henares University. PhD and M.Arch in Advanced Architectural projects at Escuela Politécnica de Madrid. A kindergarten or a botanical garden. The project that’s influenced you the most: Frank Gehry’s house in Santa Monica, California, built in 1978 and Casa Mercaders by Miralles Ragliabue (EMBT), built in 1995. A crucial detail in all your projects: something reused, recycled or renewed. City centre or far-flung places? City centre Something you have at home designed by you: the whole apartment but the bespoke kitchen in particular. What do you like to collect during walks? Stones, leaves and moulds. Reading, gardening and going to exhibitions. Your favourite place in Milan: Fondazione Prada. Tala Fustok would like to ask: what inspires your design decisions? I try to fit into my client´s shoes, their way of living, their needs and dreams. I also try to think as if I actually were myself the material I am using, how it can perform, in what ways the material works the better and more naturally. I like to develop a design that is useful, practical and would give me the joy of touching, seeing, hearing, smelling it every day. In my experience, when a design is good or an idea works when built, every day and every time you use it, touch it or look at it, it brings a special sense of satisfaction and happiness - this is what I look for!
