La Makalu sedia è una celebrazione della monumentalità delle montagne e della natura incontaminata, della geografia e della brasilianità.
Ispirata all'essenza del Makalu, una delle montagne più alte del mondo, la sedia traduce la sua maestosità e la sua misteriosa bellezza in un design unico.
Realizzata in granito Makalu, una roccia naturale brasiliana che riflette la ricchezza geologica dello stato di Minas Gerais, la sedia mette in risalto il contrasto tra il nero profondo dello sfondo e le venature bianche e grigie che ne attraversano la superficie, come se fossero fiumi e sentieri scolpiti dal tempo. La lucidatura a specchio intensifica le sfumature del materiale, riflettendo la luce in modo drammatico e conferendo alla sedia una presenza scultorea, quasi fosse viva.
Il suo design evoca le linee morbide di montagne imponenti, collegando la forza bruta della natura con la delicatezza del design contemporaneo.
The Makalu Chair is a celebration of the monumentality of mountains and unspoiled nature, geography and Brazilianness.
Inspired by the essence of Makalu, one of the world's highest mountains, the chair translates its majesty and mysterious beauty into a unique design.
Made of Makalu granite, a natural Brazilian rock that reflects the geological richness of the state of Minas Gerais, the chair highlights the contrast between the deep black background and the white and gray veins that run across its surface, as if they were rivers and paths carved by time. Mirror polishing intensifies the nuances of the material, reflecting light dramatically and giving the chair a sculptural presence, almost as if it were alive.
Its design evokes the soft lines of towering mountains, connecting the brute force of nature with the delicacy of contemporary design.

Sviluppato in esclusiva da Estúdio Sérgio Matos per Tresore Design, il pezzo segna l'incrocio tra la purezza estratta dalla natura e la creazione che instrada una nuova prospettiva e un nuovo significato sotto l'ombrello della concretezza.
Il concetto della poltrona Itaoca si basa su una materia prima nobile che fa parte della biodiversità e del patrimonio brasiliano. Itaoca, che nella lingua indigena Tupi significa “casa di pietra” o “pietra annoiata”, incorpora nel design la traduzione di riparo e appartenenza; di accoglienza e comfort; di dimora per i sensi e le sensazioni. Un incontro tra la bellezza della pietra ollare (steatite) e la raffinatezza del processo scultoreo computerizzato. Mani e macchine, talento e precisione.

The concept of the Itaoca armchair is based on a noble raw material that is part of Brazil's biodiversity and heritage. Itaoca, which in the indigenous Tupi language means “stone house” or “bored stone,” incorporates into the design the translation of shelter and belonging; of welcome and comfort; of dwelling for the senses and sensations. A meeting of the beauty of soapstone (steatite) and the sophistication of the computerized sculptural process. Hands and machines, talent and precision.
