A family of suspension lamps whose force lies in lightness.
Spokes stems from observation of the spokes of a bicycle wheel, but the series also takes its cue from the imagery of antique oriental lanterns or birdcages. An object of forceful iconic impact, displaying a concept of lighting based on contrast - between emptiness and fullness, interior and exterior - underscored by the matte finish that highlights the evocative lattice. The characteristic lightness of these lamps is combined with the solidity of the form made in metal rod, and the functional quality of the LED light source, which permits lighting of a surface, or the floor below, with a warm, natural glow, while generating games of light and shadows projected on the ceiling and the walls.
The already numerous Spokes family – which includes Spokes 1 with its oblong form, Spokes 2 which resembles a lantern, and Spokes 3 with its simple, compact form –has now been enhanced by a new size for version 2, which now has as many as four different proportions (standard, midi, large and now small), for all lighting requirements in various types of spaces. All the forms are available in 5 different colours: white, black, graphite, gold and copper.
The new Spokes 2 small version lends itself to use in rows over a counter or a reception desk, for example, or as a soloist above individual tables. A single model can be used for the configuration, or a combination with other lamps from the same family. The versatility of the Spokes project makes these lamps ideal for homes and public spaces, fitting perfectly into large architectural volumes thanks to the possibility of multiple compositions.
