Note imagines Core as a piece sculpted from a single block of matter. Its wide seats and constructive details bring to mind classical furniture and shapes.
Core's volumes show matter in its pure state. Its formal design brings to mind classical furniture and shapes.
Its generous and comfortable seat is embraced by a delicate quilted back. The balance of the Core resides in the harmonious union of its parts, which naturally fit together like elements chiselled by a sculptor, as if they have been built from a single block of material.
The sobriety of the armchair and sofas can be emphasized by using neutral fabrics or contrasted with bold colours.
Core together with Remnant are two ranges of armchairs and sofas, independent but complementary at the same time. Different construction techniques have been used to create and produce opposite forms from the same silhouette.
They are also the origin of the Void Matters’ concept – by Note Design Studio-, a reflection on how matter can be shaped when emphasizing its presence or reducing it to its minimum expression, to give prominence to void.
