Claudia Ferri was born in Pescara in 1980. After living for many years in Rome, she moved to Milan, where she currently lives, working as a freelancer in various areas of photography. Her work varies between portraiture – investigating the physiognomic change from puberty to adolescence – and contextual photography, analyzing the circumstances that change environments depending upon the people who live in them. She has shot for Off White, Gucci, Missoni, Fondazione Prada, Nike, X Factor, Mutina, Pretziada, and Triennale di Milano.

Finessi has earned a PhD and is an a rchitect, teacher (associate professor at the Design School of Milan’s Polytechnic, where he teaches Design and the arts), critic (he was editor of Abitare magazine under Italo Lupi) and researcher (he has curated exhibitions and publications dedicated to masters such as Bruno Munari Achille Castiglioni, Corrado Levi, Vico Magistretti Angelo Mangiarotti Pio Manzù and Alessandro Mendini). In 2010 he founded and was editor in chief of Inventario an editorial project that won him the Compasso d’Oro.

He focuses mainly on reportage, having shot features for magazines like Studio, Icon Design, and Esquire. His work also spans fashion, still life, and artistic photography, often using custom props and sets that draw from his design background. His clients include Fornasetti, Benetton, Marséll and Mousse, Arbiter, C41 and Another magazines.

Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi, Simone Farresin) is a research-based design studio investigating the ecological, historical, political and social forces shaping the discipline of design today. Whether designing for a client or developing self – initiated projects, the studio applies the same rigorous attention to context, processes and details. Formafantasma’s analytical nature translates in meticulous visual outcomes, products and strategies.

Martina Frattura, class 2020 of the 40 under forty lighting awards, graduated in Interior Design at the Politecnico di Milano and at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Architectural Lighting Design and Health, with a master thesis research the Human Technology Interaction department at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

Barbara Friedrich, born in 1951, trained as a foreign language correspondent after completing her school leaving certificate and then studied Communication, Literature and Philosophy at the Ruhr-Universität in Bochum.

From outer Space is the cross disciplinary initiative through which Anna Paola Buonanno and Piergiorgio Italiano bring to life their collaborative practice, aimed at exploring the economic, social and environmental dynamics by designing spaces. 

Research into exhibition possibilities is at the heart of theoretical and professional activities at the studio, which recently oversaw exhibition projects for Marséll Paradise, Edicola Radetzky and Dropcity. 

Journalist. After studying Communication Science, Marta Galli worked in qualitative market research and trend analysis,  and then for a fashion brand before joining Muse, an independent fashion magazine, where she was latterly in charge of content coordination. She’s worked freelance for newspapers for years, writing about customs, fashion and design – amongst other things, and has been a regular contributor to AD Italia, Vogue Italia, Panorama and Icon Design. She lives in Milan, sometimes in Rome.

First you explore and experience, and only then do you report. This three-pronged approach has served as Antonella Galli’s mantra throughout her career as a journalist and editorial consultant. Her passion for design and her close ties to the industry date back twenty years. Though born and bred in the Emilia region, Antonella lives in Milan and contributes to the furniture & design pages of Italy’s Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper, also covering architecture and town planning. Her articles have appeared in Interni, Grazia, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, Bell'Italia and Bell'Europa.

Jeanne Gang, FAIA, is the founding partner of Studio Gang, an international architecture and urban design practice with offices in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Paris. Known for an inquisitive, forward-looking design approach that unfolds new technical and material possibilities and expands the active role of designers in society, she creates striking places that connect people with each other, their communities, and the environment. 

Laura Ghigliazza is a Milanese photo editor. She’s been coming up with original ways of keeping herself afloat since 1995. Over the last few years, after studying photography, she’s worked with various publishing concerns, such as Vogue Italia, at the Photo Festival; I-D Italy, doing interviews and photographic research; Open Edition Gallery, creating weekly columns; Cartography Magazine, organising online content and the Reading Room, for the sheer pleasure of feasting her eyes. 

Italian photographer and filmmaker, based in Milan. Giulio Ghirardi graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2013 after completing a three-year degree in Architecture in Strasbourg, France. His photographs and films, largely focused on architecture, interiors and portraiture, apparently free of artifice and natural-looking, follow a documentary style, taking inspiration directly from life. He tends to work in series, exploring spaces and people through the medium of both analogue and digital photography.

Freelance journalist based in London, she has become specialised in the digital world by following the development of web-based content for over 15 years. She has contributed to international publications such as Elle Decor, Domus, Icon Design, Living - Corriere della Sera, Casamica, AtCasa and Artemest, largely on technology, innovation and current affairs. She is truly passionate about design that dialogues with the present and anticipates the challenges of the future.

I currently live in Milan and studied photography at the IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst in Zurich.

Massimiliano Gioni is the Edlis Neeson Artistic Director of the New Museum and the director of the Trussardi Foundation in Milan.

He has curated numerous international exhibitions and biennials including the 55th Venice Biennale (2013), the 8th Gwangju Biennale (2010), the 1st New Museum Triennial (co-curated with Lauren Cornell and Laura Hoptman in 2009), the 4th Berlin Biennale (co-curated with Maurizio Cattelan and Ali Subotnick in 2006) and Manifesta 5 (co-curated with Marta Kuzma in 2004).
