The Chapel Mural was a painting made on the wall of the chapel of the farm of a friend of Victor Brecheret (1894-1955) in Atibaia-SP. The property was in a place with a lot of nature and animals, a setting of bucolic country life that Brecheret was passionate about. Inside the chapel, in addition to sculpting the Crucifix, he painted this mural with elements that portrayed the scene he saw outside. There are reports that Brecheret's modernist style, with its innovative and less conventional aesthetic approach, was not well received by the religious community of the region and so, the bishop of the diocese did not allow the chapel to become a church to celebrate masses, precisely because of the figures that Brecheret painted in this mural. By Kamy is the brand authorized by the Victor Brecheret Institute to represent the artist's drawings in tapestries and rugs. This tapestry was made by the embroiderers of the social project 1+1+by Kamy, in free hand embroidery, mixing various types of stitches with different techniques created by them.

Victor Victor Brecheret was born on December 15, 1894, in the town of Farnese, Viterbo province, Italy. Orphaned at a very young age, he went to live with his aunt and uncle, Augusto and Paulina Nanni.

Since childhood, he loved making clay figures, which he would bake in the oven at home. One day, while walking down the street, he found a magazine on the ground with photographic illustrations of Auguste Rodin's works; this discovery inspired him to decide what he wanted to become in the future: a sculptor! At 18, he started attending the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios, taking classes in drawing, modeling, and wood carving.

During the day, he worked at his uncle's shoe factory, and at night, he attended the course. After almost two years of study, one of the teachers at the Liceu called his aunt and said: “Ma'am, we can’t teach this boy anything more. He has incredible talent. If you could take him to Rome or Paris, there he could learn whatever he wants. He has so much talent; I think it would be worth it.
